Run for Congo Women

This month, we will focus on Run For Congo Women. Run For Congo Women raises funds to benefit Women for Women International’s programs in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Women for Women International supports women in war and post-war regions—like our sisters in the Democratic Republic of the Congo—with financial assistance, job skills training, rights awareness education, trauma counseling, and small business assistance so they can rebuild their lives.

Every year, Run For Congo Women helps to raise awareness and money for Congo women. For the first time, Run For Congo Women walk/run took place in San Francisco. Ulash took her husband, 18-month son and sister to represent Understand My Mind team at the event, helping to raise awareness and funds for Congo women.
