UMM and Valentines Day

Today, UMM remembers all the people that need some love, and loved ones that have passed away. Today, UMM hopes to spread the warm energy and reach out to those that are feeling unloved and unsupported.

I dedicate this Valentines Day to my cousin sister, Jasmin who was born on Valentines Day and passed away suddenly age 19 of meningitis, November 2010.  UMM is working with the Jethwa Family to raise money for the Jasmin Jethwa Scholarship Fund.  The Jethwa Family hope the money raised will allow students to go to college, succeed and be fruitful in their life.  If you want to dedicate today to someone special, please use the comment section.

The Jasmin Jethwa Scholarship Fund

In memory of Jasmin Jethwa, The Jethwa Family hope to offer scholarship funds to one or more senior year high school students attending college (either Junior or four year college) this fall, 2011.  Jasmin Jethwa, age nineteen passed away suddenly, November 2010 of meningitis.  Jasmin was an intelligent, vivacious and beautiful young woman who started Kingston University fall 2010.  Jasmin always believed in further education and supporting friends, family and community members.

With your help, we hope to raise enough money to assist students going to college so they can make an impact on the future.  The money raised will be given to either one or two (depending on how much is raised) students.  A one-time check will be given to the student(s).  Potential students will be asked to submit a short essay (two paragraphs) on why they want to go to college and how they will make a difference in the community by attending college.  The essays will be showcased on UMM website and the Jethwa family will pick the winning essay.

If you are interested in contributing to the Jasmin Jethwa Scholarship Fund or have further questions please contact Ulash Dunlap, ulashmindatgmaildotcom  ulashmindatgmaildotcom   .  We will announce the scholarship fund application details early March.  The Jethwa Family appreciates your love and support; please consider forwarding this to others.

    hi,
Jasmin was in my maths tutorial class at Kingston, I met her briefly and can truly say that I still have not forgotten her. She left such a strong impression. Our Tutor asked a simply questions and asked us all 'how would we explain this to someone else?' Jasmin came up with a brilliant answer…. Tutor was really impressed and said that she would make an excellent teacher one day.
My heart goes out to all the family, may her beautiful soul watch over us xxx
