In our recent UMM poll "Misconceptions and Strereotypes of Psychotherapy":
55 percent voted that every therapist is different.
33 percent voted that therapists are thoughtful and understanding and
11 percent voted that therapists are crazy.
Dr. Okasha will explore common myths and misconceptions about therapy specifically addressing common fears, strereotypes of therapy and therapists, and how potential clients can make informed decisions about finding a therapist.
About Dr. Okasha
Dr. Okasha is a licensed psychologist working in private practice, and as a clinical supervisor at RAMS, Inc. He specializes in working with children, adolescents and adults in individual and family psychotherapy. Dr. Okasha is a graduate from the California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco Bay Campus, where he earned his doctorate in clinical psychology. He practices from a relational model, which focuses on utilizing the therapeutic relationship as a primary model for working through clients’ struggles.
